The Sky Rail™ is a rigid zip line that integrates directly into the Sky Trail® ropes course and offers a unique ride in places and at heights that its wire rope predecessor could not be installed. Participants experience a self-guided zip tour without unhooking at any time, enjoying its thrills over and over because of the seamless integration. The rigid design means there is no sag in the middle of the zip like traditional zip line cables, making this a great product for either outdoor locations or indoor venues with ceilings above 20 feet. This is very advantageous to course owners because of its flexible installation options and ease of use for participants. The smooth quiet zip operation is also an added bonus.
There are 2 types of braking systems available. First is the electronic, soft braking system which features electronically controlled gates combined with red and green stoplight technology. The logic-controlled system allows for a rapid flow of participants without compromising safety. For Sky Rails™ that have an automated system, the operator on the course simply needs to monitor the riders and the proper functioning of the electronic system. Second is the non-automated braking system, providing magnetic braking. There is no electricity needed for the non-automated system. A counter weight and mechanical signal are used instead of motors and lights. An operator must be stationed at the entrance of each non-automated Sky Rail™ to tell participants when it is safe to ride.
The Sky Rail™ keeps families coming back again and again!
